Terms of Celestial Service

Welcome to Afterlight. This charter establishes your absolute sovereignty over your emotional stardust, privacy covenants, and our boundaries of service.

01Reflection Sovereignty

Afterlight is a vessel for your thoughts. We believe in absolute emotional sovereignty. You retain full and exclusive ownership over all contents you record, write, or generate in our ecosystem, including:

  • Raw voice files and transcribed text memoirs.
  • Procedural generative stardust artwork vignettes.
  • The nodes and connection graphs of your emotional constellation.

Afterlight holds no rights, licenses, or intellectual property claims over your reflections. We are merely the curators of the mirror.

02Cryptographic Sanctuary

All data inside your Afterlight journal is encrypted on your local device before it ever touches a synchronization pipeline. Your memoirs are secured using standard end-to-end symmetric encryption keys.

CRITICAL COVENANT: Since we have no central master keys, we cannot recover your stardust archive if you lose your local passphrase or backup key. Your emotional vault is private, sovereign, and entirely under your guard.

03Audio Transcript Processing

To surface the emotional weather metrics displayed on your dashboard, Afterlight processes voice recordings using local on-device machine learning modules where supported, or secure, sandboxed cloud clusters.

We do not train large language models (LLMs) on your private journals, transcripts, or recordings. The analysis is strictly diagnostic, running in real-time to output your vignette coordinates and immediately dropping the processing footprint.

04Acceptable Space Travel

By entering our cosmos, you agree not to engage in actions that damage our software networks or violate emotional safety:

  • You may not inject malicious scripts or disrupt cloud-sync mechanisms.
  • You may not extract or scrape abstract assets or designs belonging to Afterlight.
  • You must respect the private beta channels and protect staging accounts.

05Sovereignty & Liability Limits

Afterlight is designed to help you witness your mind's fluctuations over time. It is an emotional archive, an interactive diary, and a mindful companion.
